Micro Focus UFT must already be installed in order to use Test Automation for Micro Focus Win-Forms (Unified Functional Testing) software. If UFT is installed after Test Automation for Micro Focus Win-Forms (Unified Functional Testing) software is installed, you must perform the following steps for the Test Automation for Micro Focus Win-Forms (Unified Functional Testing) software Custom Servers to function:
Verify that the Test Automation for Micro Focus Win-Forms (Unified Functional Testing) software custom servers exist in the following folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Infragistics\2021.1\WinForms Test Automation (Micro Focus)\CLR4.0\bin.
Navigate to the following folder: [QTP_install_directory]\dat, where by default, "QTP_install_directory" is:
QuickTest Professional 9.2 and earlier:
C:\Program Files\Mercury Interactive\QuickTest Professional\dat\
QuickTest Professional 9.5 and later:
C:\Program Files\HP\QuickTest Professional\dat\
An SwfConfig.xml file should already exist in this folder with several default entries.
Merge the Infragistics_SwfConfigCLR4.xml file (found in the Test Automation for Micro Focus Win-Forms (Unified Functional Testing) software install folder) into the SwfConfig.xml by copying every <Control> block starting from <!-- START: TestAutomation 21.1 --> to <!-- END: TestAutomation 21.1 -->.
If using QuickTest Professional 9.x, perform the following additional steps:
Using regedit.exe, create a new registry string value under
HP QuickTest Professional 9.2 and earlier:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mercury Interactive\QuickTest
Professional\MicTest\StepInformationManager\TypeInformation
HP QuickTest Professional 9.5 and later:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HP\QuickTest
Professional\MicTest\StepInformationManager\TypeInformation
Name the new value "C:\Program Files (x86)\Infragistics\2021.1\WinForms Test Automation (Micro Focus)\TypeInformation\"
