My XamDataGrid is bound to a dataset that has multiple parent-child tables 3 levels deep + 1. That +1 table is actually the root table which I bring up invisible and automatically expanded (this is done so the user can have multiple "visual" roots that all have table headers). When my records are presented I encounter the following issues:
1) Depending on what's expanded in the hierarchy, I often cannot scroll all the way to the bottom of the content using the mouse wheel. Most frequently getting me to last record - 1.
2) I CAN use the downward scroll button to get all the way down, but sometimes there is resistance and it takes several clicks before the scroll takes.
3) If a something in an expanded hierarchy is collapsed it might eliminate the vertical scrollbar (which appears to be part of a known bug). That of course means the user cannot scroll unless he starts clicking around until the scrollbar re-appear.
The end result is a horrific user experience and I want to correct that as soon as possible.
Thanks.
Hello,
This looks like an issue that we fixed. Are you using the Release version of our WPF suite? I can see that you are currently using a trial version and service releases are not directly available to you. I can open a support request on your behalf and will be happy to provide you with the latest service release so that you can test this issue with it.
Hi Alex,
I am using the following:
NetAdvantage_WPF_Express_20091
NetAdvantage_WPF_Express_20091_SR_2049
We're evaling the XamDataGrid by actually using it in one of our main products. If we like it, we'll buy the full WPF suite in the next 6 business days or so. If there is a newer service release then by all means send it on over to me.
As you are using the Express versions, the new version will be available to download through our site.
However, you are evaluating our products, so you should consider doing this with the trial version. The Express is only a subset package of our controls without the new features, whereas the trial versions has all the controls with full functionality. Please consider continuing your evaluation with the trial version on the WPF suite.
The reason we didn't install the trial version is because we are using the XamDataGrid in a real live production app and if we decide not to use the Infragistics controls then we don't want to run into a problem where we can no longer continue development because the trial license expired. My question is if there is a newer service pack / service release / patch etc. then what I have listed? If the answer is yes but it only affects the trail version then that is ok but I really need a solid answer.
I am having the same problems with the scroll bar on the xamdatagrid. I have a xamdatagrid displaying hierarchical data 4 levels deep.I'm on the latest WPF controls 2011 CLR4.0, InfragisticsWPF4.DataPresenter.v11.1 - runtime version v4.0.30319 - version 11.1.20111.2053. I applied the latest service release.
Need a work around or a fix.
I will create a support case on your behalf and continue the discussion there.
