My company is currently using Infragistics35.WebUI.UltraWebGrid.v11.1.dll for our grid control and i have encountered an issue in ie9 that causes the grid to continue expansion and does not apply scroll even though surrounding table div is set to overflow: auto, and table is fixed layout.
Is this a bug within infragistics? as i am not able to recreate issue locally using html created. Only once it is run at runtime.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Hello Maggie,
I followed the steps you suggested and was unable to reproduce the behavior you're describing. I created a grid with the table layout set to fixed, inside a div with overflow set to auto. Then I filled the grid with enough data so that it should activate scrolling. The grid operated as expected and scrolling activated.
I have attached the sample project I used to test this. Please test this project on your PC; whether or not it works correctly may help indicate the nature of this problem.
If the project does not work correctly, this indicates either a problem possibly specific to your environment, or a difference in the DLL versions we are using. My test was performed using version 11.1.20111.2064 in NetAdvantage for ASP.NET 2011 Volume 1.
If the project does show the product feature working correctly, this indicates a possible problem in the code of your application. It will help if you can provide a small, isolated sample application that demonstrates the behavior you are seeing.
Or, if this sample project is not an accurate demonstration of what you're trying to do, please feel free to modify it and send it back, or send a small sample project of your own if you have one.
Sincerely,Mike P.Developer Support EngineerInfragistics, Inc.www.infragistics.com
Thank you Mike for this code, in looking at it further - can you provide the output of this - what it would look like in html too?
I have saved out the html for the page of the sample I have sent you. Have you been able to update to the latest service release? If so has that resolved this issue for you?
Please let me know if I may be of further assistance with this matter.
Hello,
I also have perhaps similar issue on UltraWebGrid for Infragistics4.
I read posts on Infragistics that IE9 is supported on controls like UltraWebGrid if we upgrade to NetAdvantage for ASP.NET 2011 Vol. 1 because after that NetAdvantage for ASP.NET 2011 Vol. 2 have newer controls like WebDataGrid but not UltraWebGrid.
I upgraded my controls to use NetAdvantage for ASP.NET 2011 Vol. 1 and I am using ASP.NET CLR4 controls.
Now my application is using new controls for NetAdvantage for ASP.NET 2011 Vol. 1 but I am getting javascript error in ig_WebGrid_dom.js line 175.filterPanel = this._filterPanels[this.ServerPassedFilters[itr]] = new igtbl_FilterDropDown(filteredColumn);
This error is on IE9, the application is running OK on IE8 with these new controls, few grid alignments and headertext font has changed but not this type of error.
We have to use this version (NetAdvantage for ASP.NET 2011 Vol. 1) because we do not want to replace existing classic controls like UltraWebGrid to some other Grid (ex. WebDataGrid in NetAdvantage for ASP.NET 2011 Vol. 2) as that would be like entire application rewriting.Let me know If I am missing anything, all Infragistics DLLs have version as 11.1.20111.2178 for NetAdvantage for ASP.NET 2011 Vol. 1
Please let me know how can I resolve the issue.
Best Regards,Anurag Saxena
