Hi, I installed Ultimate UI for Xamarin but the first installation did not seem to work very well. AppMap would crash and if I did manage to generate, it did not build. I decided to uninstall VS 2017 and Infragistics Ultimate UI for Xamarin and start again.
This time, things looked good. I could use AppMap and could generate and build a solution and run it on a device. However, I just noticed there is no Infragistics menu (unlike in the first installation) and I have no components in the toolbox. I read another post that said to install via Nuget and I just did that but it made no difference. I tried exiting VS and restarting but that did not help. So perhaps I have a partial install? From Nuget I installed Infragistics Core, Infragistics DataGrid and it also installed Core.DV. I just spotted there are XF versions of these so I installed those and in fact ended up installing everything shown. But still no controls showing in the toolbox.
Should I have an Infragistics menu? And what do I need to do or install to see toolbox controls?
Thank you
John.
I found the answer in a great video on You Tube as mentioned in a reply in the Productivity Tools forum. I just needed to use View/Other Windows and select Infragistics Toolbox.
The video if anyone else needs it is at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4L3S26U0HeM&list=PLZ4rRHIJepBtrr8VD97foJwL3rwh-xFK6
John,
Apologies for your poor onboarding experience.
I'll get the written help docs updated soon.
David,
Please installed this VS Extension, run it and see if your problem is cleared up. VS has issues at times and this clears up the problem.

Using Windows Explorer, paste this location into the location bar, the go into the ToolBox folder and send me the Toolbox.log file.
%appdata%\infragistics
How was your project created?
Is it a .NET Standard project?
Clearing tht cache doesn work.
And sadly, there is no folder infragistics in %appdata% (translated to c:\Users\<name>\AppData\Roaming\) :/
I have created project via menu File/New/Project, Cross-Platform -> Cross platform App (Xamarin) (and .NET 4.6.1)

What version of VS are you using?

At this point, I'm not sure what to do. We've not had anyone (yet) that was unable to see the Xamarin.Forms control icons in the toolbox, after opening a Xamarin.Forms .xaml file.
Also, no log file is strange too.
At the moment I'm working on Toolbox v2 for VS 2017 and .NET Standard 2.0 projects. This will be released next week.
Can you hold off until next week and try the new version?
Apologies for the trouble you have had.
Are you on Windows 10?
Do you have delayed project enabled?
