Microsoft Licensing

Dear Infragistics,

Am i right in thinking that as Microsoft no longer licences the use of the Office UI, I cannot use the xamRibbon in an application?

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-US/office/aa973809.aspx

It used to be the case that I could apply for a licence from Microsoft, and that licence would require me to stick to the guidelines, and then I could use a ribbon in my application. Now I haven't already got a licence, and I can't get one, and so I can't use the xamRibbon?

Thanks

Pete

    Hello Pete,

Thank you for your post. I have been looking into it. If you have a trial version of our controls or you have purchased a license for our controls you can use the xamRibbon in your applications.

Please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any further questions on the matter.
