I would like to be able to take a list of US state abbreviations and highlight the state shapes on a map.
The list of states can be totally random and chosen at run time, is there any example like this?

Thank you for your post. I have been looking into it and I created a sample project for you, which shows how you can achieve the functionality you want. Basically I loop through the MapLayer’s Elements and based on a condition I set the elements Fill to a specific color.
