I am currently working with your xamMap to determine if our corporation wishes to purchase it.
I am having trouble with plotting SymbolElements on the map. I set the latitude and longitude of a location and the ProjectToMap method seems to add a lot to each value.
Example: I enter latitude 35.3702. After projecting it to the map, the value shows as 3937392.65325624.
I am extremely new to this. I am using Natural Earth's Large Scale Data shapefiles (Admin 1 - States, Provinces [shp]).

Thank you for your post. I have been looking into it and I created a sample project for you. You just need to put the shape files in the Shapefiles directory, because they are very large and the forum allows only 200kb files. You can see that, when you click on the added element the coordinates are close to the one you set because it depends where exactly on the element you have clicked. This is why they vary. Please let me know if this helps you or you need further assistance on this matter.
