Hi,

We have an app that uses the XDG to view 100K + rows. When loaded, the scroll bar thumb is microscopic, making it hard for users to operate.

What we'd like is a way to make it appear to the scroll bar that only, say, the first 1K of rows are actually loaded, so that the scroll bar is more usable, even though all 100K are actually loaded. We need filtering & sorting & statistix computation to be applied to the entire 100K load, but only show the first N rows, where N is configurable.

IOWords, we need the XDG to filter/sort 100K, but only fill itself with the first N rows.

My boss likes the Google analogy: Google only shows the first N of many result links.

How can we use the XDG in this way? (BTW, we love the XDG.)
