Hi
I found one post asking the roadmap for Infragistics Reporting however there were no replies. So, I'd like to ask the same question again:
* What is the roadmap for the product?
* Will there be scheduled reports / subscription (like MSSQL Reporting Services)
Thanks
Hi Murat,
The product pages have the areas that we are targetting for V1, you can also download the CTP and check it out.

We are not planning any report scheduling for the next couple of releases.
Are there other features that you are in need of that you don't see in the CTP?
Jason
Hi Jason,
The following is my wish-list:
I know those changes require lot of changes. Although I hate MS SQL Reporting Services, I wouldn't switch to a product without these enterprise features.
Actually, we do have server-side processing in the current CTP. For example, when you bind to a SQL DataSource from a Silverlight application, the report is processed in the server. It's rendered in the client (e.g. it will use Silverlight controls to render it) but all the heavy duty stuff is done in the server.
For V1 we will support exporting from the server and that will enable some of the scenarios you've described earlier like publishing/emailing/publish a link. You'll need to handle the report generation by yourself (we won't have a 'server' like SSRS).
The CTP2 we released a couple of weeks ago already has support for exporting to Excel.
Regards,
Andres
Just went through all the docs and for a first release I am pretty impressed with what you have done.
Having been a beta tester for SSRS 1.0 I can say you look futher along than it was at that point.
Two things in the reportviewer I didn't see I think are needed. Mostly a Search or Find capability if possible. Also Document Map or what some others call Table of Contents. A tree view of the grouping hierarchy that acts as navigation links to move you within the report.
Thanks,
Nick
I can't commit right now, we'll need to see what we get done with 11.2 and 12.1. As we get to the halfway point in the 12.1 delivery we'll have a better idea of what's next. Remember this is a V1 product, SSRS has 8 years of engineering behind it :)
So, in 2012, will there be server side features?
Hi Murat - I don't see hitting many of those scenarios, we aren't targeting most of those server side scenarios for the first few releases. You can expect features like drill down, sub-reports, export to PDF (and other formats) in the next couple of releases.
