how to bind the text property of a combo-box with the column name of datagrid ..so that the column name shows up the text that i have selected in a combo-box

Hi -

Assuming the column is the first Field (column) in the first FieldLayout, you could do the following:

<ComboBox Text="{Binding ElementName=m_DataGrid, Path=FieldLayouts[0].Fields[0].Label}"/>

<igDP:XamDataGrid Name="m_DataGrid"/>

not workin ......btw forgot to mention one thing..i have binded the Datagrids datasource to a linq query var q = from c in xdoc.Descendants("Africa") orderby ((string)c.Element(cb1.Text).Value) ascending select new { Country = c.Element("Country").Value, *= c.Element(cb1.Text).Value }; xdg1.DataSource = q.ToArray(); wot i want is the second column name to be the combobox text .....so wot should i write in the second select statement (the one marked with *) ......plz help
