Hi,
I have dynamic data bound to a datagrid and want need to change the display of decimal and date columns. I need to display decimal columns without a dollar but 6 decimal points and the date in german format.
How do I do this?
Thanks,
Tobias
Why is decimal associated with the $ symbol in the first place?
Decimal is related to USD as double to pounds or int to miles.
Not at all. Its a stupid bug worth fixing.
And in second place, why is the format of decimal and date's not according to my country settings?
Hello Tobias,
It has been a while since you have made your post, in case you still need support I will be glad to assist you further. I suppose the other community members can benefit from this answer as well. I have been looking into your post and I suggest you look here where you can find out what Masks you can apply to the Format Property of the XamCurrencyEditor:
http://help.infragistics.com/NetAdvantage/WPF/2011.1/CLR4.0/?page=xamEditors_Masks.html
As for the XamDateTimeEditor, you can set its Language Property to “DE-de” in order to achieve your goal. Also I can say that this settings are taken from the underlying format provider or the culture, by default.
Feel free to write me if you have further questions.
