    There is no property that can achieve this and in fact this is not a scenario that is supported.  The reason is simple really:  if the cell width was based on the contents of the cell then the cell width would potentially change as the grid was scrolled to reveal new rows that contained different cell content.  This wouldn't be great behavior.
     
    You will need to manually initialize the width to a value that accomdates most content scenarios and then rely on the user to resize the column manually via the UI if larger content is displayed.  The grid will preserve the user's resizing as the grid is scrolled to new pages.
