I've configured a data grid that has multiple field layout, just like the sample in online help. However, I find it's impossible to select cells across different layout. This is creating a different behavior than normal data grids. Is there anyway to have the selection capability back? Many thanks.

This is currently out of the box, I believe because you cannot select records from different field layouts - to keep the consistency of the selected items. You can however submit a feature request for this functionality on the link below:

Thank you for your post. I have been looking into it and I can say that still you are not able to select Cells, Records, and Fields from different FieldLayouts, as it was explained in the previous post because of the consistency of the SelectedItems.
