Hide datapoint labels

is there any possibility to hide the datapoint labels without hiding the datapoint? thx

    i've already tried the marker.format "trick" - i.e. setting the format to " ". but when i'm doing that the charts gets redrawn every time - this is very annoying because i just want to display the marker labels only on marker mouse over...
