UltraComboEditor Changing a cell property

Hello

I use a UltraCombo control that is bound to a data source.

Before the UltraCombo pops up, I want to change the background color of the selected rows in a cell or an entire column.(see attachment).

This works only with a draw filter?

Unfortunately, I could find no similar example in this forum.

For a code example, I would be very grateful.

Hi,

Have you tried setting the SelectedAppearance on the Cell?

yes I've tried already that as follows:

ultraCombo1.SelectedRow.Cells[0].SelectedAppearance.BackColor = Color.White;
ultraCombo1.SelectedRow.Cells[0].Appearance.BackColor = Color.White;
ultraCombo1.ActiveRow.Cells[0].SelectedAppearance.BackColor = Color.White;
ultraCombo1.ActiveRow.Cells[0].Appearance.BackColor = Color.White;
ultraCombo1.DisplayLayout.ActiveRow.Cells[0].SelectedAppearance.BackColor = Color.White;
ultraCombo1.DisplayLayout.ActiveRow.Cells[0].Appearance.BackColor = Color.White;
ultraCombo1.DisplayLayout.Rows[ultraCombo1.SelectedRow.Index].Cells[0].SelectedAppearance.BackColor = Color.White;
ultraCombo1.DisplayLayout.Rows[ultraCombo1.SelectedRow.Index].Cells[0].Appearance.BackColor = Color.White;

Unfortunately, this has not led to the desired result.

This code would only work after the row was selected or activated. What event is it in?

I have included the set of color properties to the following 2 events:

UltraCombo1.BeforeDropDown (...)
UltraCombo1.RowSelected (...)

Hi,

Hm. I would think this would work in RowSelected:

ultraCombo1.SelectedRow.Cells[0].SelectedAppearance.BackColor = Color.White;

Maybe you need to set the ActiveAppearamce, too.

ultraCombo1.SelectedRow.Cells[0].ActiveAppearance.BackColor = Color.White;

Hi Mike,.

I already suspected that it would go only with a Drawfilter class.

I slightly modified your example for the grid and now it works for a UltraCombo control.

Yes, I think ActiveAppearance on the cell was added in 2010, so your version doesn't have it. In the old version, the only way to handle this was to use a DrawFilter. There's a sample of this approach here:

Hi Mike,

the property SelectedAppearance.BackColor I had implemented already (see above).

The ActiveAppearance property is not available (see screenshot).

Can it be that my problem and the missing property in version of the Infragistics tools are?
