Hi Guys
I im using the ultraTilePanel to be another view of my datagrid... Can the ultraRowEditTemplate be used to edit data in a tile?
If not can anyone suggest how i could create a control like a RowEditTemplate to give me this functionality?
I need to keep the editting of data in my app uniform and im using a rowedittemplate to edit data in my grids. So ill will need this functionality with the tile as well.
Is this possible? any suggestions and alternatives will be appreciated....
Hello Burmo,
Could you please review the sample attached to this post and see if it meets your requirements. Please feel free to let me know if I misunderstood you or if you have any other questions.
I am checking about the progress of this issue. Please let me know If you need any further assistance on this.
Hi Boris...
Unfortunately i cant run your application i can only view the code.... I might have put you on the wrong path here..
I have a context menu that allows me an alternate view of the ultrawingrid.
on click of this item(alternate) on the contextmenu, i populate a ultratilepanel with all my data in the grid and show this ultratilepanel and hide my grid. With this having a alternate of displaying data. Now it seems an ultratilepanel is not editable? so i need to make a edit template for it.... to edit the data???
Is this what your sample does???
Hi Boris
Thanks for this... unfortunately i can run the app however i can sort of see what you doing here.... when you click for the alternate view you are hiding the grid and showing the rowedit template for the grid and then displaying the particular tile........ thus giving the illusion that the rowedit template is for the tile....
Great this is a aweosme start for me...... Great thanks allot... i will definately try this.... will let you know if there are any new queries on this issue....
thanks a stack!
I am so glad to hear that you liked this. If you like I can try to help you if you are facing any issues with running the sample, or maybe to send you a video file of my sample and how it is working. Please feel free to let me know.
a video please... this way i can ask more questions about the tilepanel and as to what exactly you are doing....
Great Boris.... you are king.... this will work fine for me.... thank you very much
Please take a look at my modified sample. I hope that we are on the same page here so please let me know if there is something bothering you around this sample application.
Great Boris.... this is what i want... but one last thing in regards to this.... how to i populate a tilepanel with data from a dataset? i know that a tile accepts a control... so i would have to make a user control for my tiles... then how to populate that with a dataset would be my next issue...
Please take a look at the video. This is what I was able to wrap up with these controls and components gathered from your posts in this thread.
