The UseMinMax property is indeed only a feature for certain 2D UltraChart formats, where actual point data is displayed and where ranges of inclusive data points may be filtered.

The PieChart processes and displays its data a bit differently, ultimately conveying its data to the user in terms of proportions and percentages of the whole and does not support the filtering of discrete data points; doing so would need to be done explicitly and results in the chart failing to render anything at all, I will request to have these details added to our current online documentation.
