Hello,
I have an UltraComboEditor and the user can input values on it. I used the AutoComplete property to do that.
But now I have a problem. I need to make sure that my user can delete a value that he wrote. I use the function canUndo but it not works.
How can I solve my problem?
Thank you.
Hello Maria,
If I understood well your scenario, maybe you could try to used ultraComboEditor1.Undo(); method instead of CanUndo(). Our method CanUndo() get boolean value, indicating whether the user can undo the editor`s previous operation. Also I suppose that your users could try Undo action from context menu during the control is in edit mode
Please let me know if you think that I misunderstood your scenario or if you have any questions.
Regards
First of all I want to thank you for your quick anwser.
I've tried ultraComboEditor.Undo() on the definition of my control mas it doesn't work.
My senario: I have a ultracomboeditor and I want to assure that my users can type a value and, if it's necessary delete some character they've typed before when they typed "Backspace".
My code:
this.ultraComboLeftEyeAxis.DropDownStyle = Infragistics.Win.DropDownStyle.DropDownList;
this.ultraGridBagLayoutManager1.SetGridBagConstraint(this.ultraComboLeftEyeAxis, gridBagConstraint1);
this.ultraComboLeftEyeAxis.AutoCompleteMode = Infragistics.Win.AutoCompleteMode.Append;
this.ultraComboRightEyeAxis.Undo();
this.ultraComboRightEyeAxis.MaxLength = 3;
This code doesn't work. When I type "Backspace" the app ignores this action.
Can you help me?
Thanks for provided information. I try to reproduce your scenario, but I`m confused. I also read your posts in other forum threads, but I still didn`t understand your scenario. Could you please upload small sample with your scenario and I`ll be glad to research it for you.
Meanwhile if you are using DropDownList, as far as I know the user could not type charecters in the UltraComboEditor, so how they could delete the charecter with backspace ?
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks for your feedback. If you have any further questions, do not hesiate to write us

Thank you!!!
This example solve my problem. I had a DropDownList and I shouldn't.
Thanks again.
If I understood your scenario, I think that you could achieve desired behavior. Could you please take a look at the attached sample and video file and let me know if you have any questions.
You're right, I can't.
What I need to do is set the dropdown values showed when I "delete" a character.
For example: if my user typed "300" it appears 300, 301, 302, 303... on the dropeddown values.
but, if they press "backspace", the dropdown values changed to 30, 310, 32, 34...
How can I dothis?
