Hi,
Just downloaded NetAdvantage_dotNet_20101.exe and NetAdvantage_WinClient_20101.exe and when executed (with UAC turned off and Run as Admin) the initial screen opens. Once I make a choice nothing further happens even after waiting some considerable time.In Task Manager I can see the process running, as "Infragistics.Wrapper.Interface", with Zero CPU and 60M memory.
Of course if I run again I get the already running dialog. If I stop or reboot, I get back to same no operation.
I can't see anyting in the knowledge base or the forums. Since it's Friday I was hoping some community support might suggest a fix over the weekend.
I'm running Win 7, x64 with both VS2008 and VS2010 RTM installed, and the laptop is working fine.Comodo firewall is turned off, and Avast! set to stop realtime checking.
thanks
John
btw. installing 2009.2 is no problem - it'ts just with 2010.1/2
Same problem with XP SP3 on a virtual Machine.
For me it turned out to the Administrator account. When installing Win7 64bit, it is disabled by default. I enabled it and the installer worked, even though I was logged in with my own named account with admin rights.
Only last week I had a similar problem with a competitors install program. For that I only got an install when using the Administrator account itself.
I can understand that 64bit in wide usage is a bit new - hence the problem installing 32bit stuff into a 64bit machine. But you're saying Vista 32 bit.
Anyway, if it's a pc connected to a domain, you might try on a local account for all users.
odd isn't it
We're having the same problem as ThePirate29 when trying to install on a 32-Bit Vista Enterprise machine (installing 2010.2). Worked fine on my machine. Running VS2008 SP1 (no VS2010 yet.)
Edit: Ooops... I didn't notice this was in the Windows Forms forum. We're having this problem with the WPF product.
I have the same problem
When I execute the exe file I get a message box from Infragistics.Wrapper.Interface saying Infragistics.Wrapper.Interface has encountered a problem and needs to close.
I'm running Win XP, with both VS2008 and VS2010 RTM installed.
thx,
Bjorn
