Code automatically changing when viewed in designer

Hi,

I have several problems where design code is automatically changing when I open a form in the designer. In one example I have an explore bar control container that has it's location changed when first viewed. When I save and check in the changes the same thing happens next time I open the form.

I have other exapmples where it's an appearance object that has changed but I cannot seem to fix the problem. This is happeneing on net advantage 2009 vol 2 but has happened on previous versions. We have recently moved to VS team system 2008 and the files are being automtaically checked out and this is causing real problems.

Are the controls that are moving withinn any container controls? If so, what are the containers?

Hi,

Yes. The main control this happens on is the explore bar and this is set to be a control container and hosting the controls that are being re-sized.

An example I'm looking at now is that tha exploreControlContainer is re-sized and then link labels within this (plus other controls) are also re-sized.

I have done a basic test using UltraFormattedLikeLabels on an UltraExplorerBar when the GroupSettings.Style is set to ControlContainer. In my test I didn't see the behavior that you describe.

As such I have a few questions:

Does this issue happen when the designer is loaded initially? If this is the case, then most likely you would also see the * next to [Design] on the tab for the document after the designer is opened for that form.

Does this issue happen when you make changes in the designer? In this case, you would be able to open and view the form and if no changes are made to the form, the issue wouldn't occur.

What specific version of 9.2 are you using? When looking at the version of the NetAdvantage assemblies, what is the last set of digits for the version? Ex. 9.2.20092.nnnn

Does this issue only occur in your existing form or does it also occur if you create a new project and add the relevant controls in the designer?
