I'm trying to do some styling for the UltraStatusBar using AppStylist, but for the life of me I can't get it to change colors or anything. I'm relatively new to using AppStylist, so I might be missing something obvious, but I can't find any good documentation on hardly anything, so I'm pretty much just learning by trial and error.
Is there any way to see the UltraStatusBar in the preview canvas? That would probably simplify things.
Otherwise, how would you go about modifying the colors and gradients?
TIA
There is an UltraStatusBar on the Misc canvas that should allow you to preview whatever styles you're creating. You can mouse over any of the individual panels and select the role that you want to modify, then choose the colors in the Properties pane that shows up at the bottom. Is there a specific piece of functionality that you're having difficulty with?

Yes, but there's a problem: AppStylist crashes every time I simply click on Misc. Maybe a problem in Windows Vista?

Sorry, I mean Windows 7.
11.1.20111.2009 was my AppStylist version.
I downloaded the latest version and it crasched again, then I downloaded the latest service release and now it works perfectly! :-)
Thanks for your help.

Hello nadia,
This seems to be an issue which has already been fixed. Could you please let me know of your current exact version of our control set? What you could do meanwhile is to download the latest service release available for your current version or either download the trial version of Net Advantage 12.1 and test your application against it.
