Yep it is a bug, Not sure if there is a hotfix for it yet and another thing to whatch out for in the toolbarmanager if using the ribbion is the "tabs" not saving the caption "no matter what you do" so you end up setting them on formload waiting for a fix for this one as well.
Yes, it is definitely a bug. But not only with the Wintoolbars. The same bug occurs with the WinGrid! Changes will not be saved. You can see it on the star in the tab of Visual Studio designer (which indicates changes on the form). If you change the toolbar or something in the grid, there is no star in the tab! The designer dont get a message from the Infragistic tools, that changes occurs.
I'm using NA 7.3 and VS 2008 Prof.
Both issues with the toolbars manager have been reported and fixed. You can submit the issue to the support group and reference their issue numbers to be notified when the hotfixes become available: http://es.infragistics.com/gethelp. The issue where the VS2008 designer will not save after running the form with a toolbars manager on it is BR29198. The issue where the ribbon tab caption will never save is BR27223. However, I believe the latter issue's hotfix has already been released. Try downloading the latest hotfix of the version you are using and see if the issue still exists.
As for the grid having the same issue as the toolbars manager, test the issue on a form with just a grid and no toolbars manager. The issue with the toolbars manager was affecting any changes made to the form. If the application was run without closing the designer and then a change was made to the form itself, the * would still not appear next to the file name. I believe the problem you have seen with the grid is just a side effect of the toolbars manager bug. If not, I would recommend submitting the issue to the support group.
Hi,I downloading the patch 1043 and sadly, it does not work! After installing the hotfix, there is the same problem with saving the changes.
If you are referring to the VS2008 issue, as I said before, only the issue about the ribbon tabs' captions not saving should be fixed in the latest hotfix. The VS2008 issue will be fixed in the next hotfix. I would receommend submitting the issue ot the support group so you can be notified of any private hotfixes.
