I created a demonstration video to show what I mean for my question.
I'm using the 8.2 controls in this video. As you notice from the start of the video everything is looking normal and appears to work, but when you start unpinning the docked panels the tabs will disappear and only show the last used panel as a tab. If you run your mouse over that bar area where the tabs are, the other tabs will appear as a mouse hovers over.
It appears to be a bug. I would recommend submitting this to the support group: http://es.infragistics.com/gethelp.

I've encountered this exact same bug in 8.3. Do you know if it has been resolved in the latest release?

It looks like consistent steps could not be determined and Developer Support was unbale to reproduce the issue. If you have consistent steps for reprodcuing the issue, I would recommend submitting it to the support group here: http://es.infragistics.com/gethelp.
