Deploying Common Assets documentation
posted

Hello.

I just want to make sure that the documentation is correct.

At http://help.infragistics.com/Help/Doc/ASPNET/2013.2/CLR4.0/html/Deploying_Common_Assets.html , under "Creating Common Assets Directories", second bullet, it states that for images the directory is "C:\inetpub\wwwroot\aspnet_client\infragistics\images". Is that correct or should it be "C:\inetpub\wwwroot\aspnet_client\infragistics\20132CLR\images" (notice I added "20132CLR)?

The way it is now worded implies there are no Side-By-Side versions of the images, all versions of IG will use the same images.

Please advise.

Thank you,

Mike

    Hello Milop,

     Thank you for your post!

About your question, the documentation is correct you have different folders for product and CLR versions, although the folder for the Images is the same. There is nothing to worried about.

You can see also that in our official documentation Deploying an Application to a Hosted Server Environment it is recommended to have two separate directories, one for the JavaScript images and one for images. The NetAdvantage ASP.NET image resources are generally located in c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\aspnet_client\infragistics\Images.
