I downloaded the service release NetAdvantage_ASPNET_20121.2236_SR.msp but when I double click it - it says it can't find the NetAdvantage_ASPNET__20121.msi
Not sure how to install the service release. I've done this on previous releases without a problem
Jim
Hello. Maybe it is not a good idea to install this sr. Look my discussion with infrgistics http://es.infragistics.com/community/forums/t/80945.aspx.

I downloaded NetAdvantage_ASPNET_20121.2236_SR and then unzipped it. There are 2 files in the unzip
ASP.NET_Release_Notes_12.1.20121.2236_EN.pdf
NetAdvantage_ASPNET_20121.2236_SR.msp
When I double click the file NetAdvantage_ASPNET_20121.2236_SR.msp, I get a WINDOWS INSTALLER box saying "The feature you are trying to use is on a nework resource that is unavailable" It looks like it's looking for the NETADVANTAGE_ASPNET_20121.MSI
Hello jimkennelly,
Please let me know if the NetAdvantage 2012 release version/build has been installed prior to installing the 2236 Service Release.
If you have any questions, please let me know as well.
Yes - I travel with two laptops when I go out of town to a client just in case. My SSD crashed on my primary machine about 2 weeks ago and I rebuilt it from scratch and added Visual Studio and Infragistics ASP.NET. Since I did a full install, the support site gave me the latest version and did not have to apply any patches. My backup machine, which I was working with while I was reestablishing my primary machine, Had 2012.1 but not the latest version. When I deployed a change to the client, I got a bunch of dll version errors and missing files on the server. I copied the appropriate older dlls to the bin folder of their server and got things going but realized that I must have both machines in sync for the old machine to act as a viable backup.
SoI am trying to apply the new service release to my 2206 (or 2209) not sure since that machine is at home and I am a client
Was considering completely removing Infragistics and doing an reinstall but would like to avoid it if possible.
I have applied service releases many times in the past with no problems - what's changed?
Please uninstall the 2012.1 volume release. Once it is done, you may download the installer from our website and re-install the volume release. When the installation has finished successfully, please download the 2236 Service Release from our website and install.
