I have a small hierarchical data grid that I'm exporting to Excel, but it take at least 10 seconds. I'm not hitting the database (loading with static data) and I'm not performing any special coding or formatting.
I have about 10 rows and it takes 10 seconds before I get the dialog. I'm too scared to see how it performs with larger, more complicated real-life grids....
Hello alexdinu ,
Thank you for posting in our forum.
Could you let me know which version of IG controls you’re currently using and which service release?
Also does this occur on a specific browser and if so in which of its versions?
I’ve tested this in version 12.1 the basic release (12.1.20121.1005) and didn’t come across a performance issue.
The exporting took about a second. I’m attaching the sample I’ve tested in for your reference.
Let me know if there any difference in the settings of the exporter that differ from the ones you’ve set in your application.

Actually, it only happens on my development desktop. It runs pretty fast on the server. I'm running 11.1, and upgrading at this time is not an option.
Thanks
Can you let me know exactly which service release you’re currently using?
Also it would be helpful if you can let me know your development machine environment.
I’m looking forward to your reply.
I'm running 11.1.20111.2064. My laptop is pretty new with 4 gig ram and i7 processor running on Windows 7.
I'm just following up to see whther you've managed to resolve this issue.
Let me know if you have any further need of assistance.
I also find that the ExcelExporter is Extremely Slow.
i have a grid with 2 or 3 rows and it takes about 30 seconds.
I have version 12.1.20121.2020.
