We recently recieved new laptops at work with windows 7. I have worked my way through all the compatibility issues until this one. I can't seem to drap and drop the DLL's onto the toolbox for components. I copied over the Infrigistics folder from the other machine because the original person's login informaiton can no longer be found. I was able to drag the DLL's just fine on the old machine(Windows XP), but of course with windows 7 it doesn't allow me to drop them. When I right click and "Add/Remove items" it doesn't give me all the possibilities that I need(ie. ultrawebgrid, excelexporter,etc.). We are on the 2004 volume 3 verison if that helps.
Hello kmundt3,
You should be able to browse to the Infragistics folder that you copied in the "Choose Toolbox Items" dialog. Try clicking on the "Browse" button. If that doesn't work, you might also try right-clicking on the .dlls that you copied over in Windows Explorer and choosing "Properties". There should be an option to unblock them. Windows 7 will block them because they came from another computer.
2004 Volume 3 has not been tested on Windows 7, and it is not supported. For more information, please see the Supported Environments page.

There was no unblock button. I did end up getting the .EXE, but I am getting the install Error 1606 and have tried the fix down below. It still gives me the error that it can't find the path with \inetpub\wwwroot\ or C:\inetpub\wwwroot. Is there something else that I am missing?
