how-do-I attach document engine band.footer to the bottom margin of a page

I'm using infragistics asp.net document engine and using the layout element "band" to organize the contents

I'd like the band.footer content to be physically at the bottom of every page in my report.  what I'm seeing is the band.footer content "floats up" on the page to be immediately below the page's content.

I am a newbie; sample code would be very helpful.
