Upgrading from trial version to bundle version (WebClient 2008 v3)
posted

Hello,

I have been developing a web site using your trial version of .net client suite (NetAdvantageWebClient20083_Trial.zip).

Now I have purchase de license, and I have downloaded the bundle version (NetAdvantageWebClient20083.zip).

At this point, I have everything correctly configured... and I was afraid of doing a re-installation because I have a delivery in 3-4 days and maybe a new install could mess up what I have working now!

Please, can you tell me if there is a way to "register" a trial suite? Or should I install the bundle version with no problem at all?

Thanks in advance.

    Jacobo,

You will need to run the NetAdvantage WebClient installer and select the "CD-Key" option.  This will prompt you to type in your license key, and will install the licensed version of the controls.  Once this is complete, you will need to run the Project Upgrade Utility on your projects to ensure that you are referencing the licensed version of the NetAdvantage controls.  You can find the Project Upgrade Utility by navigating to Start -> All Programs -> Infragistics -> NetAdvantage for .NET 2008 Vol 3 (or WebClient 2008 Vol 3) -> NetAdvantage for .NET Tools -> Project Upgrade Utility.

    Hope this helps,

    ~Kim~
