Hello,
I'm trying to run the Version Utility 2015.1 version on a large website using 2007 controls.
However, the analysis phase does not complete, and the log file just shows this (I was getting an error about Silverlight SDK, but I installed that and the error went away):
04:39:06: Running User Interface Version 15.1.20151.100004:39:06: Gathering volume and assembly information.04:39:06: Could not locate registry entry Software\Microsoft\.NETCore\v4.5\AssemblyFoldersEx where we look for installed products.
I've tried uninstalling .NET 4.5.2 and then installing .NET 4.5, but I still get the same error.
Thanks for any help,
Seth
Hello Seth,
The message you are experiencing is not an error itself. It’s just for our information when we investigate issues with Version Utility. This particular message means that you do not have WinRT product installed on your machine, which shouldn't prevent you from upgrading your ASP.NET applications.
Could you please let us know if you are receiving any other errors, and share them with us? Also if you could provide us a sample reproducing this behavior we will be glad to look into it for you.
Thank you for choosing Infragistics.
Best regards, Nikolay Nanev DevOps Engineer Infragistics, Inc.
I have the same issue. I've run the 2016.2 Version Utility upgrade (on a .NET ASP.NET website) on my WIndows 10 PC (which was upgraded from WIndows 7).
The log file show the following error :
02:19:35: Running User Interface Version 16.2.20162.100002:19:35: Gathering volume and assembly information.02:19:35: Could not locate registry entry Software\Microsoft\.NETCore\v4.5\AssemblyFoldersEx where we look for installed products.
I have got NET frame work install (4.5) - but there is no registry entry for v4.5 on my PC (just previous versions). I need to upgrade an ASP.NET project from 11.1 to 16.2
Hello Roundhouse_sw,
Thank you for sharing detail information on your upgrade experience.
Could you perform a repair/reinstall for the Infragistics 16.2 ASP.NET product and after that do a Version Utility upgrade? Could you share with us what is the outcome for that upgrade?
Best regards, Nikolay Nanev, DevOps Engineerwww.infragistics.com
The 16.2 ASp.NET install was done yesterday. Upgrade showing same message about the .NET version (is this an error ?) The log entry has no other information.
