Hi Bernd,
Yes, TestAdvantage is supported on IBM Rational Functional Tester v8.0. Starting with TestAdvantage 2008 Vol 1. its supported out of the box. for older versions and because they were released before RFT 8.0 was released there is a required step to get those older version to install on machines with RFT 8.0. If you are using one of these older versions please let me know so I can send you more information on getting TestAdvantage installed and configured on a machine with RFT 8.0.

I am not sure, what TestAdvantage version our customer is using, we need to clarify. Could you please send me information how to install and configure TestAdvantage with RFT 8.0?

Just to clarify point #1 of Ammar's post above, you want to merge the file by running the Registry Editor (regedit) and selecting File > Import... and then choosing the file. Merely double-clicking the file to do the merge may not work.
To find out what TestAdvantage version you need, you have to know what version of NetAdvantage is used to build the application under test. Both version of NetAdvantage and TestAdvantage have to match.For example if the application being tested is built with NetAdvantage 2008 Vol 1 then you need TestAdvantage 2008 Vol 1 to test it. And if its built with NetAdvantage 2008 Vol 3 then you need TestAdvantage 2008 Vol 3 to test it.
If you find out that you need TestAdvantage 2007 Vol 3 or older then to install it on a machine with RFT 8.0 do the following:1. rename the attached file to *.reg file and merge into your system.2. Run TestAdvantage installer3. Open the registry editor and remove this key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\IBM\Rational Agent Controller]
