I have a Report header section that I want to print at the top of the first page of the report.
I have no Page Header, Page Footer, or Report Footer.
My one and only section has a Group By section within it with the field that it is grouping by displayed and a line of header.
Then in the subsection it lists all of the unique individual fields.
For some reason, my Report Header is printing on the first page, but then it does not start the data of the report until the second page. How can I make it start the data after the Report Header?
Please see attached for report designer view.
Hello and thank you for posting!
The Report Header is designed to be displayed on the first page as a cover for the reporting data that will be displayed on the following pages. This is the reason the data does not start right after this header. A possible solution to this could be the approach that Simon suggested in the following blog post for using an If statement for the Page Header and make the label transparent if the CurrentPage is not the first one: http://es.infragistics.com/community/forums/t/77678.aspx.If you have any questions related to this, please feel free to let me know.
Thank you for the response, but that answer will not work for me. The header actually has an image logo in it, and therefore the header is about 2 inches in height. I don't want 2" of every page eaten up with blank space. How can I make the header not render at all after page 1?
I would have expected that if I actually wanted the report header to be on its own page then I would just put a Page Break after it.
I've tried binding the PageHeader.Visible property to "=If(Global.CurrentPage=1, True, False)", but it seems to always be false. I also tried this with a Group Summary Header with no luck.
