Hello,
We're using a XamTimeline with a List of custom objects (DateTime and Weight). When trying to apply a list of 2300 + items in our development environment, the XamTimeLIne 1: takes an excessively long time to load the items and render and 2: is virtually unuseable when it is loaded.
I then checked your "HugeData" sample for the XamTimeLine. In it, it loads 100 000 points onto the timeline, and is very quick at doing so, and still very useable after. Why is there such a performance problem when loading a much smaller amount of data??
I also forgot to mention that we are using the 2011.2 version, and Silverlight 4.
It has been a while since you have made your post, in case you still need support I will be glad to assist you further. I suppose the other community members can benefit from this answer as well. I have been looking into your post and I can say that there were some performance improvements in our latest version of NetAdvantage for SL 5 and since we no longer provide fixes and implement features for SL4 I can suggest you download our latest version, which is available only for SL5.
Feel free to write me if you have further questions.
