We are trying th eXam DockManager as a region navigation manager and one of the features of the contol our designers really like is the floating pane. A lot of our users are dual monitor and would love to be able to drag the floating pane outside of the dockManager control itself so they could view our app modules side by side.
Is there a way to do this?
Hi Nick,
there is no problem for the floating panes to leave the area occupied by the DockManager itself. However the floating panes cannot be dragged outside of the Silverlight plugin area. So if your customers got the SL app on both of their screens they should be able to drag the panes from one to the other.
Regards,
well that's what we want to be able to do is move it outside of the plugin area /browser
rats!!!
oh well thanks for the replies
Hi,
This is purely a limitation of Silverlight.
I believe in SL 5 they will allow us to treat panes as other windows to be dragged outside of the application, but this would purely be for Out of Browser mode.
