How can you create a toolbox of silverlight controls in Visual Studio 2010. I do not see a utility for silverlight to do this with, that I see for windows forms and WPF.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
John
Hello John,
There is no Toolbox Utility because the controls should be added to the toolbox automatically upon installation. If you create a new Silverlight application in Visual Studio 2010, the controls should appear in a toolbox tab called "NetAdvantage 10.3 Silverlight". The controls will not appear if a Silverlight application is not open. I have attached a screenshot (I have a Japanese VS version, but the toolbox functionality is the same).
If the controls do not appear, you can manually add them by right-clicking on the toolbox and selecting "Choose Items". They should be listed under "Silverlight Components", and the names of the controls start with "Xam". Again, the controls should only appear in the toolbox if you have a Silverlight application open.
If this still doesn't help, could you please specify the version number (ex. 10.3.20103.1006) that you are using so I can send this information to developer support?

Thanks for you reply, Elizabeth!
I have uninstalled the silverlight controls.for version 2010.3 and re-installed them with no luck. When I create a silverlight solution in visual studio 2010, I do not have a tab in the tool box for infragistics silverlight controls. If I try to add the controls manually, they are not listed under the silverlight components tab of the "Choose toolbox items" dialog box.
If you have any other suggestions, I would be very thankful. I have no idea what to try next.
I don't know where to look for the version number on the silverlight controls. I have a netadvantage ultimate subscription, and the about box for the windows forms controls says version 10.3.20103.1000
Great to hear that it's working now!
For the forum reply text box, thank you for the feedback. I passed this information on to the Web team.
THANKS SO MUCH! for the great help Elizabeth!!
I did not know that the Silverlight tools needed to be intalled. All the silverlight controls are there now.
FYI, This text control that I am typing this response in does not work with the Internet Explorer 9 Beta. I had to switch to Chrome.
Once again, THANKS!
Could you please confirm that you have Silverlight and Silverlight Tools installed on your computer?
Thanks!
