Make sure you're using the latest service pack for your web controls.  I had the same issue until I got version 9.1.20091.2067.

In my case, once there have some hidden columns the UltraWebGrid column resizing will be broken. I have EmulateIE7 tag there and everything is fine if I manually switch to Compatible mode in IE8.

No, I haven't found the answer yet.

I am Testing this product, I have Trial version 9.1.1015 and they don't let me download any service release.

However, as I said before, it works with Internet Explorer 8 in Compatibility Mode only.

If there is a trick please let us know.
