Hi,
Usually we develop ASP.Net applications. But a customer of us likes to use JSF and likes to use the infagistics grid control.
How does the functionality of the control differ between ASP.Net and JSF? Is there less functionality available for JSF? If so, what are the restrictions?
Thank you for your reply
Hi:
We've put a lot of work into the JSF grid over the last few years. While it is not completely at parity with teh ASP.NET grid it is close.
To ensure that the JSF grid has the features you need please review those features at both http://java.samples.infragistics.com (our feature browser) and at http://www.componentsforjsf.com a site dedicated to examples and related infromation.
Thanks,Jim
I don't see your response here, even though it popped up in my mail box. In any case, yes we support Facelets.
There is one more thing, I like to know:
Our customer has a "prevent cookie stealing" component in use. This component prevent, that cookies are sent to the browser, including session cookies. Please also have a look at this post:
http://news.infragistics.com/forums/t/23071.aspx
I've tested it with a .Net solution and it worked properly. Now I need to know, if the JSF version needs any cookies to work (client-side). Does the webgrid try to access to cookies at client-side, e.g. session cookie? At server-side it isn't a problem, this "prevent session cookie steling" component just "buffers" the cookie.
Thank you for your help.
To my knowledge, there is no cookie usage in the JSF code.
Best,Jim
