Hello,
We are using infragistic 6.3.20063.1079 version for web-datagrid and ultra-webcharts.
Want to know support and compatibility of the above infragistic version with Goggles browser “Google chrome”.
Please add suggestions regarding the same.
Hi,
If you find issues w/ Google Chrome, you can submit a bug report and we will address it. 2006.3 would not get any new bug fixes, so if there is an issue with the rendering you would need to upgrade to the most recent version of NetAdvantage Web Client to get the correct level of bug fix support. If you reply to this post with the customizations, we can check them out and see what the deal is.
You can grab the latest versions here:
http://es.infragistics.com/downloads/default.aspx
And try them against the same customizations to determine if the issues are resolved in a newer version.
Thanks
Jason
I'd really love to get my web app running with Chrome. I've just raised a support request as requested elsewhere as the WebListBar just doesn't work - doesn't postback/generate event when clicked.
I do hope that I won't get the "Chrome isn't supported line"... :-)
Cheers, Rob.
After posting I did a bit of reading on Chrome market share and it's lower than I expected - a few percent. So not surprised if you concentrate on the other end, including IE8, first. Chrome should help the JavaScript intensive controls which is why I was interested to see if I could support it.
Hello Rob,
We of course have been targeting Chrome (and Safari, since they both run on the WebKit engine) and all new generation controls that we ship [what we previously referred to as Aikido, now as ASP.NET AJAX suite] are compatible with them. This includes:
- WebDataGrid- WebDataMenu- WebDropDown- WebDataTree- WebImageViewer- WebSplitter- WebDialogWindow- WebSlider
For UltraWebGrid and ListBar (and the other controls that we shipped before Aikido) we still cannot claim Safari and Chrome support however, although we have certainly been working in this direction and doing our best.
I will escalate this thread to Murtaza Abdeali [PM, ASP.NET] and Jason Beres [Director of PM], I am sure they can add additional information on that.
