Hi,
In 2008.1 samples there is Portfolio Manager demo. Do you plan the same demo in 2008.2 version? And what about distribution of this demo together with whole JSF distribution? Thanks.
ANECT
We are currently rewriting the showcases and have not planned to include any for the 8.2 release. Do you have a specific need for the Portfolio Manager showcase? If so, I'm sure we can work something out.
I don't have specific needs for showcase, thanks. I would rather know how specific functionality is solved in demo. For example I am not able to repeat the same functionality with pop-up window when "edit" link is clicked on selected line. I don't know how to pre-fill data of selected line to pop-up window.
Hi Anect:
Sorry for the delayed response. I checked with the dev team and they assure me that this feature works as you describe. I will build a sample asap and post here again when I have it ready for you.
Best,Jim
it works perfectly (JSP, facelets). I hope you will publish more examples like this, because there are tricks which are not well documented. And for customer, as I am, it is difficult to think up, how it should work correctly. But this is solution using JavaScript and AJAX and I would like to have also possibility to set property to the backend over f:setPropertyActionListener component (for more information please see CAS-07538-77ZV3B support request). It looks that this feature is not implemented.
Best,
Okay! If you go to http://www.componentsforjsf.com and click on the "Online Dem" link on the seft, you'll see a set of tabs for all our demos. In the "Data Grids" tab, select example #9 Edit rows with a dialog window.
Best,JIm
That pop up window was created before we introduced our dialog window component. Doing pop ups is a lot easier now so what I'll do is post an example to our developer site http://www.componentsforjsf.com. When the example's ready I'll post here again with the exact link.
In the meantime there are a lot of other good examples on the site: I invite you to browse through them - many members of our team have contributed to them, and I'm sure you'll find some good ideas. Go to the "Online Demo" section to get started.
Thanks!Jim
