My dropdown has the AllowUpdate set to yes and CellClickAction set to edit, but when I enter the cell/drop-down, the existing value disappears. That's not desired behavior. If I remove the CellClickAction, then it doesn't disappear, but I have to double-click in order to see the dropdown values.
The dropdown is populated (value list from table) and created via code.
Perhaps I'm missing another setting???? What could it be?

No. It still does it. I've moved to other issues and haven't gotten back to that one yet.

While it is really difficult to judge what is going on without seeing the code first, this may be an issue with the product (or something that can get resolved easily though changing the environment - but then again - it really depends on your ASPX grid setup and code).
I believe in cases like this the best approach would be to contact Developer Support directly, if possible, with a small subset of your project reproducing the issue so that we can see what is going on and hopefully advise further. Developer Support can be reached via:
