I just installed Indigo Studio on a 64bit Windows 8 box. When it starts up, the only message that is visible in the window is "Navigation to the web page was cancelled". Tried reinstalling the application, running it as an administrator, etc...no luck. Anyone else having this issue or know how to resolve it?
Thanks in advance!
Hi Bosko,
Thanks for reporting this.
Is there any file in C:\Users\<yourusername>\Documents\Indigo Studio\Logs? If so, could you send those to aaguiar at infragistics.com?
Thanks!
Andres
Hi,
on my windows 8 machine with a Microsoft account, happens the same.
No logs are created on the Documents folder, not even the Indigo Studio folder...
The way Indigo works is that inside a native Windows/Mac App it creates a WebBrowser that retrieves a Silverlight app from a webserver created by the native app. The port for it is random.
While troubleshooting the issue with Bosko we asked him to install Fiddler so he could send us the Fiddler log. After installing Fiddler, it started to work ;).
Could you please try doing the same? If it does not work, could you please send me the Fiddler log to my email? If it does work, it's another clue that will help us to solve the mistery!.
in my case i had fiddler already installed, and when fiddler runs it seems that the browser cannot get the splash screen resources...
below is the fiddler session log
61 504 HTTP localhost:13436 /Silverlight.js 512 text/html; charset=UTF-8 indigo studio:6292
62 504 HTTP localhost:13436 /styles.css 512 text/html; charset=UTF-8 indigo studio:6292
63 504 HTTP localhost:13436 /InfragisticsLogo.png 512 text/html; charset=UTF-8 indigo studio:6292
64 504 HTTP localhost:13436 /splashLoading.jpg 512 text/html; charset=UTF-8 indigo studio:6292
if you continue on the script errors, the app starts (i also updated the app version).
If i close fiddler and start the app, then the navigation is cancelled message appears again...
Regards,
Michael
Hi Michael,
We were able to reproduce the issue when set a proxy in IE and make the proxy block the traffic.
Could you check if you have a proxy set in Internet Options\Connections\Lan Settings? If so, could you click Advanced and set an exception for localhost? like
"Do not use proxy server for addresses beginning with": localhost
If that's the issue we'll work on a workaround so this is not necessary.
Hi Andres,
When fiddler runs, it setup a proxy server to localhost:8888 in order to capture all the traffic...
It has an exception for <-loopback>... If i add localhost in the list of exceptions, then no traffic
goes to fiddler and also the application stops working.
If fiddler stops, it removes the proxy configuration, but again the Indigo Studio does not work...
i use v4.4.2.4 Beta of fiddler
