Hello Team ,
I started using the controls like Iggrid from Ignite UI and used Infragistics.excel.js for excel import . Are these open source ?
Thanks,
Bala
HI Balakumar,
A considerable part of Ignite LoB is open source, but the igGrid and JavaScript Excel Engine is not part of it. You can view the IgniteUI OSS repo at https://github.com/IgniteUI/ignite-ui
Hi Team -
I Hope everything good -
My Self Prakash G.M , In my Organization working with R&D Department. Actually Currently we are Planning work with Ignite UI Jquery / MVC Controls in our project , so regarding that have some doubt's on that .
1. Ignite UI is it open source ? [ Based my google it's open source ]
2. Suppose it's open source can we use into Commercial purpose [ like commercial license ]
3. Please ensure which are controls are available in IgniteUI OSS ?
4. What is main difference between IgniteUI OSS vs Ignite Full ?
5. Finally based on the my team report , we can use Iggrid with open source but based on the https://github.com/IgniteUI/ignite-ui url we can't . So just wondering is there any extra functionalities available in Ignite UI full version Iggrid ? or iggrid is available in open source ?
Please check and revert back asap .
Hi Prakash,
A part of IgniteUI has gone open source a couple of months ago and is available at https://github.com/IgniteU
You can check under Available Features in Ignite UI open-source version to see that the only part that is not part of the open source software are the grid controls, data visualization controls and MVC extensions. Those can be acquired by purchasing an Ignite UI Full or Infragistics Ultimate license. Purchasing a license provide you with a 24/5 developer support as well.
In short - you need to buy a license in order to use the igGrid in commercial projects.
Please let me know if you have further questions.
