Getting required * for select dropdown

I'm trying to get required asterisk for select dropdown. Kindly let me know what am I missing?
I tried html select too which is commented part of code.

    Hello Bindu,

    In order to show the required asterisk, you need to provide an igxLabel directive to the select component.

    You can refer to this sample which shows both template and reactive forms with the select component.
