Hello TechCreator71,
Please see our Windows 8 page on our website. It contains a lot of information, a link to the Windows 8 forum, and an email link if you have further questions.

Have you guys tested any of the controls in Windows 8 as yet? I would really like some information on this as we are beginning to prepare development for Windows 8 shortly.
Thanks in advance
Great:). Thank you
Yes, that is correct. If you run into any issues, keep this thread alive with descriptions of the problem or you can go directly to the support team and we'll work with you on getting fixes in the SR's.
Great. So to put it simply. We can develop code using VS 2010 CLR v4 and the application minus a few code modifications the Infragistics WPF or Silverlight controls should work. Correct?By the way thanks for the quick response.
There are multiple options for Windows 8 development:
- Visual Studio 2010 / CLR 4: You won't have any problems here. While we don't officially support this yet, we have not run in to any showstoppers
- Visual Studio Preview / CLR 5 in Windows Desktop: You will run in to issues with the toolbox and some other incoveniences, but not really an showstoppers.
- Visual Studio Preview / WinRT in Windows Metro: You can use NetAdvantage for jQuery w/ HTML. We do not have any WinRT XAML or WinJS HTML controls.
Our policy is to support Windows 8 and Visual Studio v.Next once they hit Beta and Microsoft ships a more stable codebase. That has not happened yet, so as the beta's of Visual Studio and Windows 8 arrive, we will be able to test more scenarios and determine what if anything we need to fix.
Hope that helps, let me know if you need any clarification on this, since it's a fairly complex scenario with both the OS and the tools (including CLR and runtimes) changing so dramatically at the same time.
As we complete more testing with the beta's of VS and Win8, we will post updates on the Windows 8 page that Liz previously pointed you to as well as the blogs,
Thanks
Jason
