Hello,I'm posted this question on the Telerik forums as well.My company bought a developer licence from both Telerik and Infragistics, so it isn't about the money. I made a ASP.NET website with Telerik components and that is working perfect. But now i have to make a decision in what our windows development team is going to use, that team is bigger and we problably need more licenses. Playing with both Windows suites has learned me that Infragistics has a high learning curve compared to Telerik, but they seem more complete and i have the feeling it's more bugfree. Infragistics CAB extension is quite old and released, Teleriks CAB extension is still in beta and ofcourse not bugfree..It seems that the Telerik Grid doesn't support hierarchical data while Infragistics does. As the grid is one of the only components i've checked im not quite sure what the other components will do.Until now i have the feeling we should go for the Infragistics for Wincontrols. And keep using Telerik on my webapplication.Or should i let my company go for Telerik for Wincontrols?Greetings
Telerik certainly has a sexy style video about their product don't they. Thought I would venture over there see what they have been up to. Didn't see anything that I thought was Wow! my users would love that over what I can do with Infragistics. I've been developing with Winforms Infragistics controls since 2002 and have been happy with what has been added over the years. The Grid is my main usage however with the exception of UltraChart and Schedule I have used most everything else also. The learning curve has been acceptable as with most powerful things you just gotta dive into it. I don't use CAB however. Hopefully someone that knows both can give you a feature for feature comparison.

Any updates? i am looking for feature comparision as we are planning to dive deep into an intranet apps development.
Any pointers would be of great help.
Thanks

I did a very quick review of the Telerik GridView maybe 15 minutes of study. Here are some things I use in UltraWinGrid that I did not find in GridView. Conversly I did not see anything in GridView that UltraWinGrid did not have. Also I got the impression that many of the things available in UltraWinGrid for several years are just recent additions to GridView.
Subtotals and Grand totals. Including counts, mins, maxes, averages and custom summaries.
RowLayout and Cardview for non-horizontal display and where numerous columns needed.
Row based cell merging.
Calculation manager for dynamic complex calculation and/or logic. They have something called expressions and aggregates which didn't seem to be well documented.
I am sure there is more if time allowed. Also I believe there is a CAB forum here so you might want to post your message there also. I don't use CAB myself so I can't comment on it. Toolbars and Statusbars well there probably just isn't going to be much difference there. UltraWinTree however I believe has some functionality most don't however.
Gridview, toolbar (menu and toolbar), gridview, statusbar etc etc...
CAB stuff like DockableWorkspace
Which winforms control do you feel you will use the most? Yes I went to the Telerik forums to see what their comments would be and could not find your inquiry.
The Telerik guys deleted my question twice, that is one reason to go for Infragistics
For my company we are probl. going to choose for Infragistics, they have a bit higher learning curve, but on the other hand they provide more stability because the suite is longer on the market.. Telerik is still 'new' and resulting in a 'unstabe' feeling.
