We are past code complete and are hard at work testing, writing docs and creating samples. We have a lot of great stuff coming in 12.1, a lot of code has been written in the last 4 months since 11.2, and even better it’s all based on what you’ve asked for. In this post, I’ll talk about the new controls & features in: Windows Forms ASP.NET HTML5 / jQuery / HTML5 Mobile Windows Phone XAML Line of Business XAML Data Visualization LightSwitch In each product, we’ve added new features and controls based on what you’ve asked for. We are continuing to invest in Windows Forms (always a top question – we have not dropped support or teams here by any means), and we are still breaking ground in the high performance capabilities of our XAML Grid, Chart and Map controls. In this release you’ll also see new HTML5 controls for mobile devices, as well as new HTML5 features and controls in our market leading, high performance HTML5 jQuery based Grid and Charts. In honor of Windows 8 and Windows Phone, we’ve rounded out Touch Support on the XAML controls, and we’ve added new amazingly beautiful Metro style themes. We’ve also designed and developed a new add-in based on one of our most highly requested features – XAML Theming. You’ll be able to do this with the new Color Tuner Visual Studio Add-in. Keep in mind, the usual disclaimer applies – we are in full testing mode right now, so there is a chance something may CTP (or very worst case get cut) based on quality. In that case, I’ll update you when we launch. If you want to talk about any of the features, shoot me an email at jasonb@infragistics.com. One more thing … RTM is slated for mid-April. We plan on code-freeze in 4 weeks, installer testing in the following week after code freeze, and a small buffer in case we need it until the mid-April RTM. In between all of these new features and controls, we also had to full regression test Visual Studio 11 Beta and fix bugs found on our end and Microsoft. I think you’ll really love the Metro Themes, Color Tuner and Touch across the controls, as well as the continued focus on performance scenarios in the Grid, Charts and Map controls across all platforms. If you are looking for features but don’t see them in the list, shoot me an email at jasonb@infragistics.com, everything we build is based on your feedback!
