IG Backlog for 12/01/17

Infragistics Team / Thursday, November 30, 2017

Hi all- can you believe that it’s already December?

We’ve got some exciting changes coming on the Infragistics Blog, and we have a team getting ready for the Gartner Application Strategies & Solutions Summit 2017 in Las Vegas next week. Come find us on the show floor if you’re in town, and in the meantime, check out a couple of news bits that you may have missed in the last couple of weeks!

1)      Net Neutrality – Even if you took a complete hiatus from news over the holiday, you likely have heard that the FCC is expected to make a decision on Net Neutrality this month. Here’s a primer video from the New York Times on what that means, a group of musicians who are banding together to make sure their voices are heard on the topic and a Forbes post with a different take on why the loss of Net Neutrality would be bad.

2)      re:Invent – The SD Times reports that Amazon introduced a new solution for building AR, VR and 3D apps at their annual event this week, and Mashable says that they debuted a version of Alexa for Business.

3)      The Good, The Bad, and our Solution – A member of our Sofia, Bulgaria team, Radoslav Karaivanov, shared his thoughts on the advantages and challenges of Angular with JAXEnter. And he’d know as a part of the team that works on our Ignite UI for Angular components. Have you checked out Infragistics Ultimate 17.2 yet?

We try not to get political here, but have you contacted the FCC to make sure you are being heard about Net Neutrality? Have you tried Angular and our Ignite UI tools? If not, what are you waiting for?

As always, we’d LOVE to hear from you! Tweet with your thoughts @Infragistics and include #IGBackLog for a chance to win an IG hat!
