Is there a way to persist the state of the node expansions so that the app reads it on start-up and expands the nodes as before, and hopefully scroll to that location?

I have tested the project on Windows 8.1 machine with Visual Studio 2013 with Infragistics WPF version 14.2.20142.2081 installed and it was build and run without any exceptions. Would you please provide me more details about your environment so I can try to reproduce the exception on my side? You have mentioned that the exception occurs on load. Does it happen when the grid is loaded, or when you try to open the project in VS, or when the project runs?Thank you in advance.

As you can see in the project the extended state of the records and the ScrollViewer position are saved and are used after the grid is loaded.Please feel free to let me know if you need additional assistance after reviewing the project.
