I have actually a 2-parts question. Found out that I cannot use the property of the XamDockManager UseOwnedFloatingWindows and I suppose, that it's because I use version 10.3 of the infragistics. Am I right?
Then I tried to update my infragistics using Infragistics Version Utility, but the update failes because most of the files in my solution are readonly. How can I work this around. Thanks in advance!
Hello Ecaterina,
Thank you for your post. I have been looking into it and I can say that the XamDockManager ‘s UseOwnedFloatingWindows Property was added after version 10.3. Also you can either make your files editable in order to use the version utility or leave them read-only and add replace the references manually. Please let me know if this helps you or you need further assistance on this matter.
Looking forward for your reply.
Finally I have removed readonly from all my files and update with Version Utility went on. But the log file shows: Updating InfragisticsWPF4.DockManager.v10.3 to new reference InfragisticsWPF4.DockManager.v10.3. and like this for all references... something obviously went wrong :(
Hello again,
The ticket number is CAS-114668-W7N2K4. You can send us the license through the CRM.
Thank u. It would be nice. Just let me know when it is ready and what should I do. If not valid for v.13.1. then maybe it will be valid for one of the earlier versions where the functionality I need is present. I just need to use the property "UseOwnedFloatingWindows" in the XamDockManager. Thank u in advance.
I can create a pricate ticket for you, where you can send me the licence key, so I can check whether it will be valid for 13.1.
Thank you. Just one more question: what about the licence? I have the licence for the version 10.3, not for the greater one. Thanks.
The Version Utility provided with each version is meant to upgrade projects, which uses older version, so if you want to upgrade your project from from 10.3 to 12.2 you should use the version utility from the NetAdvantage 12.2 package.
Hope this helps you.
