I have several issues with the xamDockManager.
But the first one is, that when I have a floating ContentPane, it appears in the 'Active Tool Windows' list of the navigator (Ctrl+Tab). How can I achieve that it is shown in the 'Active Files' list? VisualStudio shows all opened files (even if floating) in the 'Active Files' list. I want to have the same behavior. What do I have to do?
Hello,
Thank you for posting.
The XamDockManager control was designed when VS2008 was available where files/documents could not be floated. The panes of the XamDockManager are not considered as windows or files. If the pane is in the DocumentContentHost, it is shown in the “Active Files” section otherwise (when it is floating, floating only or docked), it is in the “Active Tool Windows” section. I have logged the behavior you had describde as a new product idea so that the behavior of the floating panes corresponds to the one in latest versions of Visual Studio.
